Hello, I’m Ana. I was born in Madrid and live in London, though I also grew up across Italy, Scotland, Germany and France, which has shaped the way I see and work. I trained as both an artist and an architect, and I feel most at home in the spaces where disciplines overlap.
My art practice has evolved from experimenting with digital collage and drawing into exploring traditional craft and material processes; working with drypoint, etching, and screenprinting. What interests me most is how an idea develops through production, and how process shapes the finished piece.
I currently split my time between developing a new print-focused body of work at Resort Margate and my role at Experience Studios, a creative agency where I design immersive experiences and entertainment spaces.
Previously, I worked at Yinka Ilori Studio, creating sculptural installations and decorative objects for clients including MoMA, Meta, and the Brit Awards. I studied at The Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) and later trained at The Royal Drawing School, in London. My work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts (London) and at La Galleria Nazionale (Rome).

From the essay “Redesigning Ghosts” by Paula Vilaplana, in Cosmowomen: Places as Constellations — “Instead of assuming pop as a totalizing medium, Alonso infiltrates its layers and appropriates its tools to create new and liberating visions. She understands the game and reworks the rules, marking the beginning of a new era for women in architecture.”
